Veneer Plaster

Developed in the late 50’s, as an upgrade to the drywall system, this system utilizes a specially treated “sheet rock” base which is then “skimmed over” with a thin “veneer coat” of gypsum plaster and progressively troweled to a hard smooth or textured finish. Two experienced applicators can finish a 12 by 12 room in under 2 hours and it’s paintable in 48 hours.

• abrasion resistant surface
• no exposed sheet rock paper
• no sanding dust
• instant wall leveling abilities (applying thinner or thicker to compensate for framing irregularities)
• unlimited texturing options
• plaster can be “tinted” with pigments offering a natural breathable finish
